SIMPYC Project

Management and coordination of all the tasks necessary to carry out, correctly and completely, the project, in accordance with the proposed objectives. This action is to be the responsibility of the Valencia Port Authority. The following actions are to be carried out:

1.- Guarantee the viability, including economic, of the project.

2.- Coordinate the actions carried out by the project’s various participants, with the aim of gaining mutual benefit from the conclusions and experiences obtained.

3.- Establish the calendar of the project's periodic monitoring meetings. The following initial calendar is proposed:

1st meeting in November 2004

2nd meeting in January 2005

3rd meeting in September 2005

4th meeting in October 2005

5th meeting in February 2006

6th meeting in May 2006

7th meeting in May 2007

4.- Provide information to the EC upon request, in addition to the following Monitoring Reports:

• First project monitoring report, upon completion of Task 1.
• Second report in the design of the Environmental Action Plans relative to each of the participating locations.
• Third report on the Environmental Indicators System designed for the project.
• Fourth report ion the Social Awareness and Participation Plan.

5.- The launching of an interactive, multilingual website designed to facilitate the management of the project. Additionally, the website will function as a fundamental tool for the promotion of the project, given that its contents are to be updated frequently in such a manner as to enable interested parties to follow the project’s evolution. The coordination between the members is to be carried out through an intranet application, to which the members and other participants, such as the European Union Commission, will have access.
