Task 3: Design and Implementation of
a Monitoring Programme in Industrial-commercial Ports
Development of an Environmental Indicator System that enables control of the evolution
of the port-city relationship from an environmental perspective, as well as facilitating the monitoring
of the actions pertaining to the action plan developed as part of Task 2. The following actions are to
be carried out:
- 1.-Selection of the environmental variables to be considered by the indicators,
based on the conclusions obtained from the environmental diagnosis carried out in Task 1.
- 2.- Design of an Environmental Indicators System in line with the Indicator
Systems already present in the Port of Livorno and the Port of Valencia.
- 3.- Development of an integrated control mechanism responsible for inserting
the resulting Indicators System into an organisational structure, including the distribution of
responsibilities and tasks and which implies the involvement of the corresponding Ports and Councils.
- 3.1.- Development of a control mechanism structure.
- 3.2.- Selection of indicators in accordance with levels of responsibility.
- 3.3.- Creation of methodology for the adaptation of the indicators to the
resulting control mechanism structure.
- 4.- Application of Indicators System.
- 5.- Revision and Improvement of Indicators System.
- 6.- Training of staff involved in the management of the Indicators System.
