Open Days

On 9 and 12 October 2006, Brussels will host the most important event in the annual calendar regarding regional policy in the European Union: Open Days or ‘European Week of Regions and Cities’. This event, organised jointly by the Regions Committee and the Directorate General for Regional Policy of the European Union, will be held for the fourth time and coincides with the III Week of the Valencia Community in Brussels.

Under the title "Investing in Regions and Cities: Public and Private Partners for Growth and Jobs", some five thousand representatives from the public, private and banking sectors as well as politicians at a European, national and regional level are expected to attend the event consisting of 180 seminars and workshops on the funding opportunities and possible partnerships between local/regional administrations and businesses arising from new regional funding and cohesion policy.

The Fundación Comunidad Valenciana – Región Europea will make the most of this excellent opportunity for diffusing the outcomes of the SIMPYC project through leaflets, panels and information sheets.
