21/05/07 A Study on Social Awareness and Involvement Plans has been completed.
This month a study by the University of Valencia on Social Awareness and Involvement Plans to be designed in the three project areas has been completed.
The results obtained from the questionnaires completed in the first phase of the project (qualitative diagnosis) provided relevant information on port-city relations. The next step was to analyse the need for social information and target groups to aim the information at. Initiatives were also determined for creating awareness among the general public on the importance of environmental friendliness. The aim was to encourage co-existence and port-city integration within the parameters of ‘the educating city’.
On the basis of this study, the ports and city councils of each city will determine their own Social Awareness and Involvement Plans according to individual needs.
