22/11/2007 International SIMPYC Workshop

An International SIMPYC Workshop, organised by the Organismo Público Puertos del Estado (the Public Agency State Ports) with the support of the Valencia Port Authority, has been held in Valencia.

Rafael Aznar, President of the Valencia Port Authority, Lourdes Bernal, Councillor for Health, Noise Pollution and the Municipal Laboratory and Jesús Poncela, Assistant Direct for Safety and the Environment of the Organismo Público Puertos del Estado (the Public Agency State Ports) were responsible for opening the event.

Project partners provided an update of the project and information on complementary issues to give a global view of environmental actions taking place within the framework of port-city relations.

The Workshop, which was offered in Spanish, French and English to broaden its reach, was well attended by over 100 delegates from Port Authorities, City Councils, Regional Organisations, and companies from various European countries including, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Belgium …
